The Founding Charter comprises 21 sections.These can viewed in their entirety in the Italian version. Those who are interested in knowing more about the Society’s aims and wish to apply for membership,are kindly requested to read the excerpt form the Society’s Charter given below Excerpt from Section 1Zolla Society’s chief priority is to support and promote the research lines which distinguish the seminal opus, academic excellence and thought of Elémire Zolla (1926-2002). This specifically includes: reclaiming the mystical and spiritual foundations rooted in the traditions of East, West and native peoples; research in the fields of Literature, Anthropology, Aesthetics, Oriental and Comparative Studies; investigating how Theoretical Physics and Metaphysics meet in contemporary thought. Membership is open to: 1) all readers interested in Zolla’s Italian and English works, including those writings which have been translated into Spanish, French and Japanese; 2) university professors specialized in the fields of Comparative Literatures, Aesthetics, Philosophy and Cultural Anthropology, East-West studies, mysticism, esotericism, science of religion and native traditions; 3) young researchers (under 35) who are engaged in interdisciplinary, comparative and Oriental comparative and Oriental studies, and wish to join research projects channelled on-line, as well as AIREZ-sponsored seminars. The latter are open to AIREZ members only, and will be held in heritage hill-towns throughout Italy. International conferences are sponsored by Bodies, Academies and Institutions who wish to host them on their premises in Italy and abroad. Benemerito (from 1000 euro una tantum) Honorary members* include :very distinguished men and women of knowledge ; patrons of scientific and editorial projects initiated by AIREZ; financial promoters of AIREZ conferences in Italy and abroad. *Honorary members are appointed by the AIREZ Assembly of Members on the President’s recommendation, and are not subject to payment of membership fees. Applications for admission are reviewed by the Executive Committee and endorsed by the Ordinary Assembly on the President’s recommendation. Payment Payment of the annual membership fee shall be made solely through bank transfer, payable to: Payment must be made within and no later than the month of April of the current year. Those who fail to comply will have their membership revoked. Nota bene Excerpt from Section 9The Society comprises the following bodies: - The Members’ Assembly - The Executive Board, chaired by the President - The Secretary General - The Scientific Committee Excerpt from Section 10The Ordinary Members’ Assembly is convened by the President and meets once a year. All adult members who have paid their yearly membership fees may attend. Excerpt from Section 17The President is in charge of formulating the Society’s operational and scientific policies. Excerpt from Section 18The Scientific Committee has an advisory capacity and supports the Executive Council in formulating scientific and research policy, which the latter determines in agreement with the President. |
